Two George V, Cased Burns Federation Silver Medals awarded by the Forfar Burns Club in consecutive years 1930 and 1931. The medals "Presented by the Forfar Burns Club" - one medal dated 1930, the other 1931. Apart from the date the medals otherwise identical. They were both made by the same maker, hallmarked with the maker's mark "WJD" for William James Dingley, Warstone Lane, Birmingham, alongside the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham "anchor" town mark and date letter. One medal with date letter "E" for 1929/30, the later with date letter "F" for 1930/31. They measure approximately 40mm in height and the weight is 12.8g each.

A very good quality, vintage Scottish Sporran made by Duncan Chisholm, Kiltmakers of Inverness. It is in excellent condition and comes with the original cardboard box it was supplied in. Duncan Chisholm is a well respected firm of kiltmakers based in Inverness.

A rare Sterling Silver & Enamel Royal Mile Burns Club badge dating from c1930. The badge with a central enamel portrait of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. The blue enamel surround bearing the inscription "The Royal Mile Burns Club (1925). The rear of the badge hallmarked with the maker's mark "JK", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "F" for 1930/31 The Royal Mile in Edinburgh is the name given to a succession of streets leading from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyrood House. The Royal Mile Burns Club was instituted in 1925 and was limited to 50 members, all resident in the Edinburgh Old Town. The badge most likely worn by the Chairman. It measures 71mm in height and 52mm in diameter. it is in very good condition.

A 'Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament' medallion. The medallion is inscribed on one side with 'Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament A.D. 1862' and a chalice and host. It measures 47x33mm.

A 9CT Gold Scottish Masonic Jewel set with diamonds. The red ribbon set with Masonic symbols, suspending the 9CT gold masonic medal with a crown to the centre set with diamonds, the circular surround with the name "Chapter Plantation No259". The rear of the medal stamped "9CT for 9 carat gold. The rear of the medal is engraved as follows Presented to Comp. Robert H Edwards, 1957, by the companions of Chapter No259, as a mark of their esteem.

An interesting, antique, Victorian brass token for the Kirkcaldy or Dysart Ferry. The token engraved as follows KIRKALDY OR DYSART FERRY. STEERAGE No45. The token measures 38mm x 38mm. As far as I am aware this ferry operated across the Firth of Forth between Kirkcaldy/Dysart in Fife and Newhaven, Leith, Edinburgh.

A very nice, vintage Sterling Silver Kilt Pin or brooch in the form of a Scottish Dirk. The rear of the pin hallmarked with the maker's mark "WJ&S" for W Johnson & Sons (Clifford Street, Birmingham), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham anchor town mark and date letter "L" for 1985. It measures 80mm in length. In excellent condition.

An antique Victorian Scottish Football Medal dating from c1891. The medal engraved "S&ER Junior Cup, 1891". It was awarded to "OMS R Hutchison (Capt.)". Although the medal, in my opinion appears to be silver, it is not hallmarked, therefore selling as white metal. The medal measures approximately 25mm x 25mm (excluding the suspension loop). The weight is 12.6g It is in excellent condition.

A very good and rare, antique Victorian Scottish Silver Kirkaldy Swimming Club Medal dating from c1860. The medal engraved "Kirkaldy Swimming Club, 1860". Also it was awarded for "First Prize, Fast Swimming, 300 Yards, Gained by ....". Unfortunately the name of winner of the medal has not been added therefore we do not know the original recipient. The medal is hallmarked with the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the maker's mark "JM" probably for James McKay, the Scottish "thistle" sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh "castle" town mark and date letter "C" for 1859/60. The circular medal measures approximately 1 3/4" inches (44mm) in diameter (excluding the suspension loop). The weight is 17.9g. It is in excellent condition.

A very good, antique Victorian Scottish University Athletics Medal dating from c1892. The medal engraved "Edinburgh University Athletic Club". It was awarded for "Fresh Men, 220 Yards" and was won by "R Hutchison 1892". Although the medal, in my opinion appears to be silver, it is not hallmarked, therefore selling as white metal. The circular medal measures approximately 34mm in diameter. The weight is 18.5g It is in excellent condition.

A very good Silver Agricultural Medal dating from c1939. The medal was by "The Fife Agricultural Society". This medal was "Won by Miss Anne Drysdale, Kilrie" in the "Childrens Riding Class, 1939". The medal is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GA&S", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "O" for 1938/39. The recipient of the is Miss Anne Drysdale. The Drysdale family farmed at Kilrie, Kirkcaldy on the east coast of Scotland. The medal most likely awarded at the Fife Show. The circular medal measures approximately 1 3/4" inches (45mm) in diameter. The weight is 39.4g. It is in excellent condition.

A very good and rare, antique Victorian Scottish Silver Agricultural Medal dating from c1865. The medal was awarded at "John Swan & Sons Christmas Show, Edinburgh 1865". This medal awarded "For the Best Cross Ox" to "Wm. Drysdale, Kilrie". The medal is hallmarked with the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria) the maker's mark "G&MC" for George & Michael Crichton of Edinburgh and the Scottish "thistle" sterling silver mark. There is no date letter, however the maker's mark is recorded as being in use c1865 to 1875, consistent with the date on the medal, 1865. The recipient of the medal William Drysdale farmed at Kilrie, Kirkcaldy on the east coast of Scotland. John Swan & Sons, livestock auctioneers, founded in 1856, operating out of a mart in the Berwickshire town of Earlston. During the late 1800s and early 1900s the firm operated marts in East Lothian, Fife, Perth and Edinburgh. The Edinburgh site closed in 2001. The circular medal measures approximately 2" inches (50mm) in diameter (excluding the suspension loop). The weight is 36.2g It is in excellent condition.
